Mud

Every kid should have some time to play in the mud, but it sure is hard to watch!

The Zoo

It's been awhile since we have been to the Sac Zoo and it's fun to go check it out again every now and then. Micah bought a groupon that included a carousel ride, train ride, story key and entrance fee so the kids were excited they got to participate in every activity that we normally wouldn't probably pay extra for.

Girls weekend

Our Bible Study group usually goes to the Hume Lake Retreats every year for Men and Women. We decided to do something a little different this year and instead us girls headed to Truckee for a little mountain getaway. The guys will be building houses in Mexico for their trip in a couple months. We stayed in a beautiful cabin with a big deck right on the golf course. We spent most of our time walking around downtown Truckee shopping, eating and chatting.

James plays soccer

This year we decided not to put Haylie back in soccer and to give James a try at playing instead. Haylie wasn't too concerned about it and actually enjoys the freedom to run around and play while James is practicing. The best part is - James' team has the most handsome coach!!! We love seeing Daddy help lead the boys and teach them soccer skills. He is great with the kids and has such patience as the crazy boys run all over and climb on him.

Date Night

Micah planned a surprise date night for Toby Keith's new restaurant which was fun in itself. But I was so excited when I found out Phil Vassar was going to be there. We love his songs and have seen him perform several times before. He really does a great job and has so much energy and enthusiasm throughout the show. This was definitely the coolest since it was just a small area and we were basically standing right in front of the stage the whole time. Loved seeing him stand on the piano and belt out the songs!! Best date night and such a good surprise!
