Back to school

It is bittersweet! I miss the kids so much when they are in school but I am happy they are moving up and learning so much. It is fun to watch them grow and so the next school year begins. James will be in Jr. Kindergarten with Mrs. Cann and Haylie will be in 2nd grade with Ms. Leeson...

Funderland

Summertime is the time for fun and we achieved that in this trip. I took the kids and their BFF's to Funderland for the day and they could not have possible had more fun. I loved watching them all be silly and run to the different rides and enjoy their childhood! What a fantastic day!!

Cool cousins

We always love when our cousins come for a visit. This time we got a chance to swim with them and keep cool in the blazing heat. We checked out the Orangevale pool for the first time and we really liked it. The bigger kids went down the curvy slide there over and over again!! Of course, anywhere would have been fun if our cousins were there!

Hold on tight!

We LOVE our weekends at the cabin and this trip we had the opportunity to hike to the top of Lover's Leap. This might be our new favorite hike. What an amazing feeling to stand at the top of that mountain with 360 degree views of Tahoe. I was just a little nervous we might fall to our deaths but seriously - it was really incredible!! I know we will be back!

Star-gazing

Laid on a big rock up in the mountains, laughing, eating popcorn and watching the stars with my favorite people. It doesn't get much better!

Take your kids to work

The kids wait in eager anticipation for Take Your Kids to Work day at Daddy's office. The City does a great job of planning tons of fun activities for the kids and Haylie and James look forward to the day all year long!
